2016 Season - Week 21 (Cont)

SuperGames

And so we are five days away from SuperBowl LI. If you cannot make it to HQ on Sunday for the big game but still want to have a wager or two, we will be playing the usual games at the traditional price of £1 per game. Remember all money is split equally between the games winners as gambling is the work of the devil and the BUMS is a non-profit making organisation. Attached is the price of the SuperBowl players so you can enter your team (usual play-off rules 1 x QB, 1 x K, 4 x Outfield Players for a maximum of $7.5m). The other games are First Player to Score (QB only if he runs it in), team leading by Quarter eg Tie,Tie,Patriots,Falcons. (TTPF), Half-time score and Full-time score. All-BUMS Voting – Deadline tomorrow Thanks to those who have already voted for their favourite players of 2016. If you have not voted yet remember I need (in order) your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Receivers plus your number 1 & 2 Quarterbacks, Kickers and Coaches. Vote for your players based on BUMS points, how much you enjoy them, what they meant to their BUMS roster/NFL team or just the fact they were on your roster. The deadline is tomorrow (Wednesday February 1st) so please vote now if you haven’t done so already. (See POSscoring 2016 attached). High Flying Falcons Atlanta’s scoring offence was not just the best in the league, but was a whopping 15% better than it’s nearest rival. Atlanta scored 540 points in the regular season, 71 more than New Orleans and 99 more than third highest scorers New England. Green Bay were fourth on 432 points and Dallas fifth with 421. Marcus posed the question if you drafted just Falcons where would you have finished. Picking first, in the first round you would have selected Julio Jones (taken by Wayne in the 1st Rnd Pick 15) who scored 36 points, then Devonta Freeman (George 2-2) for 78 points. In the 3rd Matt Ryan (taken 12th on TD1 by Aaron) 116pts. At the end of Rnd 3, supplemental pick Tevin Coleman (taken 7th on TD1 by Alex) for 66pts. Dan Quinn in Rnd 4 (AP took him with the first pick of the 4th) scored another 66pts and is followed by undrafted Taylor Gabriel in Rnd 5 (42pts) and also unwanted Mohamed Sanu (26pts) as the 5th Rnd supplemental pick. That would leave the highest scorer in the league (158 pts) with the first pick in the final round (Matt Bryant was eventually taken by Marcus with the 10th pick of round 6). So your Falcons team could have been drafted last September and would have cost you $7.5m for a league winning 588 points, the fourth highest score ever. (Craig won the Premiership with 557, Daz the Conference with 469) BUMS on Superbowl Seats Superbowl LI is this Sunday February 5th on BBC Two with kick-off around 11.25pm.
